Steve
Clark
Steve Clark is a freelance
bassist living and working in London, Ontario. He
entered the jazz performance programme at Humber College
after his high school graduation. During his years at
Humber, Steve studied with Lenny Boyd and Mike
Farquarson, as well as one of Canada's top bassists,
Dave Young. Steve graduated from Humber in June 1989
with an Honours diploma in Jazz Performance. Today Steve
is playing regularly with some of London's top
musicians. He currently plays bass for the Aeolian Hall
House Band, performing shows throughout the year as part
of a regular concert series. Other recent performances
include playing bass for artists such as Groovebone, a
London Music Award nominated band, Traci Kennedy, a
local new country artist, and Catherine MacInnes, Home
County Music Director and winner of a CBC song writing
contest. Steve also performs regularly as the first call
bassist for both Brian McHugh, a top London drummer, and
Roots / Aboriginal artist, Elizabeth Hill.
